The JAPAN S shoe is based on a vintage shoe we introduced in 1981. This redesigned shoe features a low-top silhouette with a court-inspired toe. Updated with a lightweight design and an improved cup sole, the shoe offers excellent comfort and improved cushioning. Mimicking the aesthetic of vintage basketball sneakers, this heritage style also features nostalgic branding like the ASICS stripe on the quarter panel and "ASICS" lettering on the heel. The retro basketball aesthetic of the JAPAN S shoe is complemented by iconic court details inspired by the footwear worn by basketball players on hardwood courts in the '80s.
